War Is…

It was quite easy for the American population to grow increasing against the war in Viet Nam, the government in Saigon was viewed as a remnant of a colonial power, the nationalist foe did not wear a uniform, was able to blend into the civilian population, which increased the likelihood of collateral damage among the civilian population and most importantly no known threat to the home front. Fast forward to 2015 and the current war against ISIS, again a foe that does not wear a uniform, able to blend in with the civilian population, but able to cause and effect great damage on the home front, and with that concern for the civilian population of those in and around the battle zone greatly diminished, with the anthem of ‘better them then us’, yet to be set to music…and yes ‘war is hell’ on earth…to be continued…
