And Then The Rains Came…

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,

I can see all obstacles in my way

Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind

It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)

Sun-Shiny day. As sung by Jonny Nash, song writers, Gamble, Kenney/Huff, Lean

From my residential perch in The Bronx, I can see clearly now, nothing but un-American activity being carried out in the Nation’s capital; am I the only one?

With a segment of the home population in peril bathed in a future of uncertainty can be easily ignored when the stock market closes in record highs, profits are up all around, with a ‘let the good times roll’ mentality, it’s not me aggravated and distraught, its ‘them’, their small affair is of little concern to me.

With a high degree of Republican backbenchers just inching to explore presidential power again after being locked out for eight long years one would think a throng of party professionals would be springing up for the challenge, that seems to not be the case, in view of this bumbling tumbling administration. One has only to remember that it was its so hated presidential campaign that it could not even muster grade ‘A’ entertainers to perform during its week-long inauguration celebrations. I can see clearly now it’s going to be a long hard four year of this governments reign, or should it be, in the words of Bob Dylan, ‘it’s a hard rains that’s gonna fall’…
