No comment on number one, the Oscar Wilde quote, as for number two, here’s my take, she wants to maintain her status as a trophy wife or forever maintain one in waiting.

It was very refreshing to hear Cherilyn Sarkisian to publicly proclaim on a worldwide televised event, the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, her age of seventy-one, refreshing because of it being publicly uttered, however, shameful on appearance, because it is culturally perceived to be inferior or somehow unworthy of affection or respect because of an aged appearance. Otherwise, why would she and others spend so much time and effort, not to mention money, to hide the fact that she is seventy-one years old trying not to look like the standard of a seventy-one-year-old as levelled by mother nature and current popular media. Incidentally, my above opinion is not unique to women most men share in this ignominy too, emphatically, in spades, it’s a shared perception. The CNBC extra, Binge with Carl Quintanilla today featured a conversation with a seventy-two-year-old Sherry Lansing who looked every bit her age, all except her hair, even though thinning a bit in front, but still culturally seemed bound by the practice of hair dying, I ask why? With all her professional success which is quite extensive and yet still could not find it within herself to appear publicly or privately in the guise of a seventy-two-year-old splendid lady with gray-hair…
