Taught Too Soon

Although I could not find the direct quote, I did search for it, I remember Maya Angelo stating after she read her poem, On the Pulse of Morning at the first President Clinton inauguration, her concern of what school children must be thinking as they would be made to study it as a presidential historical event. Was it too long, and of some the images she painted. Which has led me to wondering what present school children must be thinking of certain words and phrases now used in this current presidential setting that they should have only become aware of much later in life, seemly having had their innocents of pure thoughts ripped from their youthful minds into the hard-uncompromising themes of adult life. I reference some slang words that should, if ever learned are from the gutter, that are now taught in the classroom, simply because this American President mentioned and played havoc with them that are now widely reported in the news.
